SPECIAL CEREMONY FROM THE WHITE HOUSE:Ms. Estelle Hirtz, an official nurse at the White House, is retiring after 57 years of service there. In the picture at the right, she is shown with Lyndon Johnson and his family (she is seen at the far right).
Ms. Hirtz is not only a native of Washerst, PA -- the birthplace of Emmett Lee Dickinson (Emily Dickinson's third cousin, twice removed -- at her request) -- but she is also the great-great-great granddaughter of Emmett Lee Dickinson's brother Muttley James Dickinson. Ms. Hirtz began her career at the White House in 1964, and for the past several years she served as Donald Trump's chief diaper changer. Current White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain will present Ms. Hirtz with the White House Medal of Honor, the highest honor a staff member can receive. "We've all been through a lot of shit these past few years," said Mr. Klain, "but no one more than Nurse Hirtz." |
Nurse Hirtz said that she was very humbled and honored to receive the award. She added with a luagh, "I suppose you could say that Donald Trump but the 'stink' in this distinction."
The virtual ceremony will be viewed in the Grand Ballroom of the Wastoria Motel during the DOPE Conference.
